Suzuki have announced today a two year partnership with the Rizla rolling papers brand, for sponsorship of their MotoGP team. The Rizla liveried bike will be unveiled at the Catalunya IRTA test which begins at the end of this week.

A press release issued today by Dorna confirms that BMW will be continuing their partnership with the series until 2009. The German car manufacturer will remain the safety car supplier for the next four years and will continue its 'BMW M Award' which awards a shiny new Z4 to both the quickest rider at the Catalunya IRTA test next month and the quickest qualifying rider over the course of the season. |

Having pulled out of the Sepang test just over a week ago with a shoulder injury, Casey Stoner has now undergone surgery. The LCR Honda rider has had a bit of a lucky escape, as he will be fit just in time for the first race of the season in Jerez next month. |

The Suzuki team have concluded their penultimate private pre-season test today at the Losail circuit in Qatar. Both riders completed full race length runs on their new GSV-Rs to finish the test, with relative MotoGP rookie Chris Vermeulen improving by almost three seconds on his best lap on Sunday. |
