Rossi to stay in MotoGP for 2007 |

For some time there have been rumours that Valentino Rossi would have to make his decision about Formula One before Mugello in a little over a week's time. According to the ANSA news agency, Rossi issued them a statement in which he said he would remain in MotoGP 'for a while yet'. Rossi leads at Le Mans last weekend The news comes as little surprise following a troubled start to the season for the Italian rider. Rossi currently sits in eighth place overall, following last weekend's French Grand Prix, in which he was forced to retire with an engine fault. Few would have expected 'the doctor' to depart from the paddock as anything less than a world champion and his odds of being able to do that this year have so far been growing worse by the race. Neither Valentino or his team have released an official statement regarding his decision to stay in MotoGP, but at this point we would expect it to be something of a formality.
